The Teagle Foundation seeks to provide grant funding to support faculty-led efforts to prepare undergraduate students to become informed and engaged participants in the civic life of their local, national, and global communities. Project proposals should address gaps in civic knowledge of undergraduates and be designed to prepare undergraduates for the intellectual demands of democratic participation. Grants of up to $400,000 over three years will be awarded, with the size of the grant determined by the number of institutions involved and the project’s scope of work. Planning grants in the range of $25,000 over 6-12 months will also be considered. Proposals from single and multiple institutions partnering together will be considered.
Deadline: December 1, 2018 (Priority; Concept papers accepted on a rolling basis)
